Q. WHAT SONG OR ARTIST INSPIRED YOU TO BE A SINGER?
A. Well I don't think I could narrow it down to just one. But when i think back to my earliest memories of singing through a PA system and dreaming of being a front man, I would say Alice In Chains was a huge influence around that time. Other big ones were Candlebox, Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots...and the list goes on!
Q. IF YOU COULD BE SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE singer, WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN THE BAND?
A. I've been a drummer for longer than I've been a singer. I love playing the drums. But being the guitarist would be fun too. Being able to actually play all the riffs that are in my head would be awesome!
Q. WHAT WAS THE NAME OF YOUR FIRST BAND?
A. Wisdom's Call. I was the drummer in that band. Ahhh the good old days!
Q. WHAT WAS THE FIRST SONG, ORIGINAL OR COVER, THAT BAND WAS REALLY GOOD AT PLAYING?
A. We eventually changed our name to Widow's Offering and got a new singer and learned Cemetary Gates by Pantera. Probably didn't do it justice but we played it pretty well for being like 15 years old!
Q. MOST INTERVIEWS ASK WHAT ONE OF YOUR SONGS MEANS, HOWEVER THIS QUESTION FLIPS IT. WHAT DOES ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE SONGS MEAN TO YOU?
A. One of my favorite 3AMproject songs is The Funeral. It's about going to a funeral or visitation and seeing all of the people that for one reason or another....life has a way of pulling people apart, so you haven't seen them in a long time. Everyone always says "it's a shame that these circumstances are what it took to get us all together". It's kind of a depressing topic..... But the positive message that I get from that song is: Don't take the people in your life for granted! Life is short so love those people while you can.
Q. WHAT’S ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE LYRICS FROM A SONG?
A. "Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun."
If you don't know who that is I feel for you. Google it! Haha
Q. WHAT’S ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE QUOTES FROM A MOVIE?
A. Walk Hard!
"Wrong kid died!"
"You can take the children, but you leave me my monkey."
