We arrived at the Grand Haven Lighthouse right at 9:00 a.m. It is accompanied by an inner light as you can see here. Both structures were built in 1905 and stand 36' tall. There is a campground very close and quite a few people were on the pier already. It seems to be a very popular fishing spot and the waves can get quite big here. I took some pictures along the pier and then climbed up on some sand dunes to take a few more. I climbed down the other side of the dunes and got this image through the rocks.
We were pretty hungry at this point since we didn't have dinner the night before, and we didn't want a repeat of that, so we headed into Grand Haven and found a Bob Evans. It was probably because we were so hungry, but that was one of the best Bob Evans I've ever been to. So with our bellies full we were off to the White River Lighthouse.
