So here we are, the final stop on our Upper Peninsula lighthouse trip, The Grassy Island Range Lights, in Green Bay, WI.
Built in 1872, one light is 34' tall, while the other stands at 27'. They were both removed and preserved in The Green Bay Yacht Club's parking lot. In 1998, they were relocated to the breakwater entrance of the yacht club, fully restored, and then rededicated in 2005. This picture was taken from the U.S. Coast Guard Station just across the entrance channel.
It was a great trip. Easy driving, great scenery, good food, and a lot of cool pictures. I am planning on going to The Upper Peninsula again, this time focusing more on the northern shoreline. There are plenty of lighthouses up there we didn't get to.
I want to thank my mom for going on these trips with me, we always have a good time and get to visit some really cool places.
